The SYSA mission is to teach our youth the game of soccer through the development of individual skill, fitness, teamwork and fair play. This new site is our way of giving our members an easy way to access important information about the program and age-specific content.
For field closures, contact the Recreation Department Field hot line at 508-485-0710, option 8. For the Fay School Athletic Complex on Mill St, coaches and parents will be notified by email by their Age Group Coordinator.
Hopefully you all are enjoying the last days of summer. Soon enough the kids will be back out on the fields kicking a ball with friends. In prep for that, here are a few notes going into the season…
The first games of the season are on September 10th for both in-town (K-Grade 2) and travel teams (Grade 3-Grade 8). You will hear from your age group coordinators or coaches soon with more detailed information about practice and game logistics.
For all those who intend to coach or are AGCs, there are mandatory coaches meetings scheduled. There have been a lot of changes happening through US Soccer that have cascaded down to town soccer. Coach and AGC attendance is very important at these meetings. Here is the information:
Date: Thursday September 1st
Location: Woodward School
Who: All AGCs and Coaches
Time Slots for Grades:
The Fall 2016 Season will run for 10 consecutive weeks starting in September.
In-Town (K - 2nd Grade): Registration will remain open up until the season starts. We strongly encourage you to sign up soon as it makes the team creation process and field assignment much easier for our volunteers.
Travel (3rd - 8th Grade): Registration closed on June 12th. Any registrants after that date will be placed on the waitlist. If a player is accepted off the waitlist, there will be a $25 late fee assessed. There is no guarantee of admittance into the program if a player registers after June 12th.
